Domaine Garon Cote Rotie “”LANCEMENT”” 2019. Absolutely a top wine from Domaine Garon from the small paracel Lancement Lieu Dit, producing just under 1200 bottles in the 2019 edition. About 80% is destemmed while the rest, about 20%, are whole clusters. The wine is aged for 36 months in barrels, 30% of which are new. Then the wine is bottled unfiltered.
Lancement 2019 from Domaine Garon has an overwhelming fragrance profile, with raspberries, violets, blackberries, coffee, and smoked meat. The first sip brings everything together, powerful and charming ripe berries, coffee, and tobacco ending with a long finish.
